Chocolate Falls offers all sizes of chocolate fountains. Our tallest fountains, nearly four feet tall, towers above the rest to forge a striking presentation. Not only does a larger fountain leave a lasting impression, it can accommodate a large number of guests (over 250 guests). We also feature medium (150-250 guests), small (50-150 guests), and mini fountains (2-25 guests).
What types of chocolate do you offer?
All of our quality chocolates are of the finest available (Guittard and Ghirardelli) and are specially formulated to produce a smooth flowing cascade and maintain unparalleled taste. We do not use oil. Although semi-sweet chocolate is the most popular for dipping, we also offer milk, dark and white chocolate. For a unique experience, you may add mint, orange, coconut, or rich coffee flavoring to your chocolate of choice. To enhance visual effect, we are able to provide a wide array of colors to match any décor.
How many people will the chocolate fountain serve?
Our various size fountains are suitable for small events of 2 guests and can accomodate parties in excess of 400 guests.
We recommend the following:
- Mini fountain: 2-25 guests
- Small fountain: 50-150 guests
- Medium fountain: 150-250 guests
- Large fountain: Over 250 guests
Do you work outside of the DC Metro area?
We serve many guests in various locations in and around Metro DC, as well as West Virginia and Baltimore including Frederick, Columbia and upper Montgomery County. There is an additional travel charge for events outside the metropolitan area.
How long will the chocolate fountain be at my event?
With our standard package, the chocolate will flow for three hours. We will arrive up to one hour prior to the start of your event and will discreetly remove the fountain at the end. Additional running time is available in half hour increments.
Who will provide the dipping items?
We can, you can or your caterer or facility can! We have many menus and packages of dipping items available through our catering services. At your convenience, you are welcome to use your own caterer or provide the dipping items yourself. Whichever option you choose, we will work diligently to make sure that your event is a success.
Who runs the chocolate fountain throughout the event?
For our full service, we have professional and courteous attendants who strive to make your chocolate fountain experience fun and memorable. The attendant will be there to set-up, run, assist your guests, and break down the chocolate fountain.
Is the chocolate fountain messy or does the large fountain splatter?
No. Other than the occasional drip from an over-indulgent guest, the chocolate fountains stay surprisingly clean. Our attendants are always on hand to maintain a clean presentation.
Can the chocolate fountain be used outside?
Due to the intense chocolate aroma that our fountain generates, your guests will not be the only creatures to swarm the chocolate fountain! Also, unexpected weather change may affect the viscosity of the chocolate and disrupt flow. Please contact us as we are willing discuss each event on a case-by-case basis. We can provide a wind screen at no additional charge.
What are the technical requirements for the chocolate fountain at my event?
All we need to operate the fountain is a level, sturdy table or structure capable of holding 130 pounds and access to a 120-volt electrical outlet. We can work with all event decorations.
